JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Reports to: Management Accountant
Department: Finance
Hours of Work: 09.00am – 17.30pm Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive
SUMMARY

As part of the finance team, you will report to the Management Accountant providing support to deliver key outputs for the finance team. You will be required to utilise your experience in a finance role to ensure the accuracy and timely updating of the ledgers. Demonstrating excellent organisational skills, you will have a strong administrative background and will be confidently able to apply this to your role. Hitting the ground running, you will be a key member of the finance team. You will assist with all administrative accounting tasks, including partner commission statements. High levels of accuracy with the ability to communicate with suppliers and relay information are key requirements of the role.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
You should demonstrate:

✔ Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. In particular MS Excel. Good skills are an advantage
✔ History of working in an accounts department; preferably purchase ledger.
✔ Excellent administration and organisational skills.
✔ Good with numbers with a positive approach.
✔ Excellent communication skills.
✔ Experience of using accounting software essential, Sage 50 desirable.
✔ Foundation level Accounting qualification is an advantage but not essential.
✔ Experience within the telecommunications industry is an advantage but not essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
✔ Managing the supplier ledger to include:

– Invoice & Purchase order processing and business sign off.
– Generating supplier payment runs and sending remittance advices.
– Expenses processing and payment runs.
– Supplier statement reconciliation.

✔ Entry of daily banking transactions and bank reconciliation.
✔ General administration tasks.
✔ Assisting with partner commission runs as and when required.
✔ Assistance with general office management and HR administration.
✔ Assisting other members of the finance team on an ad hoc basis.
WORKING LOCATION & ENVIRONMENT

The individual will be based at the Zest4 offices at 50 Alderley Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 1NY and will be required to work normal office hours 09.00am – 17.30pm Monday – Friday. Some out of hours work may be required occasionally.
