Zest4 Incident Cam
In the event of impact on the vehicle – a collision, harsh braking, harsh cornering or driver panic button depressed, video footage is automatically streamed live from the vehicle to the Zest4 Customer Cloud Portal for viewing. The system automatically generates e-mails to the customer containing a quick view video together with an incident report and alerts.
All incident/event activated videos (or requested videos) are stored against the vehicle in date and time order.
For non-incident video there is also a historic search feature to view recorded footage for circa 80 hours of past driving. Simply enter the date and time against the vehicle and click ‘Request’ to remotely stream the requested video from the vehicle.
Incidental is the next generation of event driven mobile CCTV. Capable of recording driving activity onto a tamper proof flash memory on a continuous loop in high definition, with automated video alerts sent in the event of a collision or near miss. Video on demand can be remotely requested to supplement event footage and drivers are protected with a panic button which will prompt a clip uploaded when activated.
IncidentCam now features the option of a secondary camera with event driven uploads and alerts to capture events behind or inside the vehicle when required. Combine a secondary camera and remotely selectable audio recording to capture even more.
No SD Required
Journey footage is stored on a secure flash memory that will automatically protect event clips until they are uploaded via 3G to our secure server. This prevents potential for lost or corrupt data files commonly associated with the use of SD cars.
A hard wired telemetry device detects accelerometer events offering a far greater degree of accuracy when detecting a crash or harsh driving events. Within seconds of an event occurring, a detailed report is delivered – backed up by compelling video footage.
The convenience of remotely examining footage without the need to retrieve the camera or vehicle avoids the logistical headache of manual retrieval.
Supplementary footage can be requested remotely in longer segments to assess driver behaviour, add further context or evidence to incident footage.
IncidentCam will provide an opportunity to enhance driver behaviour by delivering examples of bad practice and negligence which, left unchecked, could result in a more serious incident. Feedback of driving footage to drivers as part of an advanced training programme will aid in the reduction of risk, running costs and improve overall driver safety.
Look Both Ways
IncidentCam is compatible with a second camera to deliver internal driver facing footage to encourage driver best practice and enforce vehicle policy. Alternatively, an externally mounted rear camera can be installed to capture activity to the rear of a vehicle which can prove invaluable when identifying the true circumstances surrounding an event.
Video evidence supports the timely settlement of non-fault traffic collisions, which may otherwise have been contested. Leading to future savings on fleet insurance premiums.
A driver panic button enables the driver to manually trigger an event clip should they feel compelled if an incident is observed which impacts the driver directly or indirectly e.g. road rage.
Remote configuration of IncidentCam allows the capture of internal audio recording. This feature can be activated and deactivated remotely to offer full flexibility.
The IncidentCam vehicle kit includes a ‘hard-wired’ tracking telematics unit which controls the vehicle camera and transmits/streams video and data to your portal. Also included within the kit is a driver’s panic button.
The Zest4 IncidentCam vehicle kit provides ‘Event Driven’ notifications to your Matrix portal and direct to individuals within your organisation. In the form of alerts, reports and live streamed video from the vehicle.
